The initial struggle of the fishers in Tikamgarh district was in the village of Madia where the first cooperative (Achrumata Sangathan/Apex Cooperative) first started (7 years ago). Vikalp and the Machuarrah Sangathan started working in the block of Chattapur two years ago.
